I picked Ady and Hayden up from Mother Goose on Friday. Ady was in such a good mood. As we were walking out the door she announced that she had a boyfriend. I was a littel suprised, but not really. Kids this age always have "boyfriends" and "girlfriends." I was not prepared for how the conversation actually went:
Ady: Mom, I have a boyfriend.
Me: Really!? What is his name?
Ady: I don't know. He is just my boyfriend.
Me: Oh. You don't know his name?
Ady: No, but we kissed.
Me: What!
Ady: We kissed on the mouth.
Then came the lecture about how we don't kiss boys and that if you kiss boys it spreads germs and then you get sick.
Ady: Mom, we kiss in our family all the time and we don't get sick.
Me: That is different. You can kiss your family but you can't kiss boys until you are a mom and dad.
Ady: But Mom, how else am I supposed to show him some Lovin'?
Heaven help me...

A Family All Together
Richard is back to work at the Railroad this month. My kids have gotten used to him being home and having a lot of family time. Last night as I was putting Hayden to bed he asked where Dad was. I told him Dad was on a train. He then replied, "I miss Daddy. I want him to come home. That way we can be a family all together."
Aaahhh....
What a sweet boy!
