Family Togetherness

Grandma Sue and Grandpa John (or Grandpa Sue as Hayden calls him) took a camping trip with us to Island Park. We spent three days in the car and two nights in a tent. Grandma Sue and Grandpa John enjoyed seeing Yellowstone Park for the first time. It was a great trip, BUT I was happy to come home and sleep in my own bed!

It's A Boy!

We had our ultrasound last week. Everything looks good and the baby looks healthy. He was very excited to let us know that he is a boy. Now we just need a name...

Things I Love About Summer

• the squeals from my kids as they slide down into a pool of cool water
• watching Ady and Hayden play on the trampoline
• no work
• it's warm
• sleeping until 7:30 and feeling like I've "slept in"
• watching Ady's baseball games
• watching Hayden play in the drinking fountain at Ady's baseball games
• taking the kids to storytime at the library- they get so engrossed!
• when Ady or Hayden crawls into bed with me after Richard has gone to work
• playing with the cousins
• warm evenings
• enjoying the warm evenings on the porch swing with Richard
• no daycare bill
• chatting with the other moms at the park while my kids play
• going to the pool

Holy Ghost

So, last Monday we had a Family Home Evening lesson on the Holy Ghost. Ady is always thinking. I swear she never stops. A couple days later I am pulling the rubber band out of her hair, which apparently was hurting her. Here's the conversation:

Ady: Ow! Mom your pulling my hair.
Me: Sorry! I'll be careful.
Ady: Is your Holy Ghost telling you to do that to me... because my Holy Ghost is telling you to stop!

You gotta love Ady!
